How to persist when manifesting

How to Persist When Your Manifestation Hasn’t Arrived Yet

When I first got into manifestation, there was one phrase that I kept hearing everywhere:

“Persist.”

Persist in the vision.

Persist in the feeling.

Persist in the assumption that it’s already yours.

But I remember thinking:

How do you persist when your life feels like it’s falling apart?

Several major chapters of my life ended at the same time. I lost the best job I’d ever had, my personal life was shifting, and I suddenly found myself starting over.

Oh, and to top it off, I was the heaviest I had ever been, my self-concept was crap, and it seemed like no one understood what I was going through.

It’s no wonder I reached a point of exhaustion.

Why couldn’t I have the life that I wanted? Why did I need to continue to suffer?

So, I did what many do when faced with a difficult situation. I ran to a higher power that might solve the dilemma inside me.

However, this time, instead of running to religion, what I always knew, I turned to spirituality. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not crapping on religion. I still believe in God; I just tapped into the power that is God within us, rather than letting external factors (other people, rules, etc.) dictate what is possible for me.

I learned that there was a world out there in which you could decide that you wanted something – a new life, a new partner, ANYTHING – and acquire it. And that there are so many correlations between spiritual practices like manifesting and concepts I learned in the Bible, like (Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it and it will be yours – Mark 11:24)

BUT you had to persist.

To persist means that even when the thing you want hasn’t materialized in your life, you remain certain that it’s already yours.

So, how do you do it? How do you persist in the midst of uncertainty?

This is what I’ve learned:

How do you persist? Tap into the feeling of already having it.

After my life upheaval, I began the journey of manifesting a new job in a new city and state. I could feel it was coming because I kept getting interviews, but, unfortunately, I wasn’t landing a job.

Interview after interview, something would happen.

Sometimes I’d be ghosted.

Other times they’d say they loved me… But I was missing one small qualification.

Eventually, I decided that I had had enough.

I locked in on the most recent interview I had and decided that that was the job that I was going to get.

From that moment forward, I would envision getting the call from the recruiter that I got the job, and I would let it fill me with excitement.

I would practice what I would say to my family and friends when I got it.

I allowed myself to run around my room with excitement as if I had gotten the callback from the recruiter offering me the job.

And sure enough, two to three weeks later, I landed the job.

Acknowledge, but don’t dwell on the misalignment.

There will be times when something looks like the manifestation, but it isn’t.

For example, I was recently hunting for a new job. (We’re in an entirely different era now.)

I thought I had found the PERFECT remote job. I crushed the initial interviews, but I blew the last one.

Don’t get me wrong, I went into it with a positive outlook, but the vibe just wasn’t right during the last one, and I never heard back.

Did I stress for a little bit and cry? Yes, yes, I did. I allowed myself a little bit of wallowing, but then I kept pushing.

More applications were submitted, more interviews came, and I eventually landed a dream role. Like an everything I ever wanted type of role – amazing colleagues, amazing culture, amazing leadership.

Now, imagine I had remained stuck on that one job that rejected me. I would’ve never found this one. It’s important to see those situations as misalignments. You can be disappointed, but don’t live there.

Express gratitude for even the smallest wins

In Luke 16:10, it says, “Whoever can be trusted with the small things can also be trusted with the big things.” You don’t have to believe in the Bible for this to be true for you, but it’s a very applicable concept.

So what does that mean in manifestation? It means that the small wins are just as important as the big wins and should be treated as such.

Be grateful for them.

By expressing gratitude for the small manifestations, you’re showing the universe or God that you are ready for the big manifestations.

The thing is, manifestation isn’t about pretending challenges don’t exist.

It’s about deciding that no matter what happens, you will not abandon the vision you have for your life.

Every misalignment, every delay, every unexpected turn is simply the universe redirecting you toward something better.

So if you’re in the middle of uncertainty right now, remember this:

Persist.

The life you’re manifesting is already making its way to you.

If you’re on your own manifestation journey, I’d love to hear from you.
